REWE digital IT Academy 2025: Jr. Java Developer (m/f/d)

REWE digital Academy 2025 is free of charge and it will be held in Bulgarian language only!

You will have 4 weeks of training in Java and Spring, and 1 week in our Sofia office. We aim to give talented students a quick career start as Software Developers. Top students will have the chance to sign an employment contract with us and learn from some of the most experienced Software Developers in the country.

All applicants need to successfully pass our 3 steps: personal presentation, technical test, and a personal interview before acceptance! 

• Take part in 4 weeks of Java / Spring training
• Participate for 1 additional week in our Sofia office for live sessions.
• Focus on lessons and homework
• Maintain discipline and respect the schedule 
• Learn new things every day
• Be proactive during the sessions

• Last year university students in Engineering with knowledge of OOP 
• Or successfully passed the entire Java training from different training providers
• Very good English (verbal and written) 
• Good skills with Google and MS products
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Collaborative and people-oriented personality
• Self-driven and motivated person 

Step one: Prepare your CV and self-presentation, answering the following questions:​

• Was there a specific moment when you realized you wanted to become a programmer, and what made you choose this career path?​
• Programming is constantly changing. What motivates you to gain new knowledge, and what learning tools do you prefer?​
• What gives you the most satisfaction when writing code? Is there anything you find challenging?​
• What steps should a junior developer take during their first 24 months of career growth?​

You can choose the form of presentation between PPT, pdf, and video format.​

• For text format up to 500 words per question. ​
• For PPT format up to 6 slides​
• For video format up to 3 minutes total time. ​

• If you choose to apply with ppt/ pdf. Upload the self- presentation and CV in Complete Application Documents: box. ​
• If you choose to apply with video and CV. Upload your video in google drive/ dropbox and add link in Profile URL. Additioally upload CV in Application Documents: box. ​
